Send your child's lunch to school in a canvas bag! They are light, durable and
extremely easy to clean in the washing machine--and of course they are
lighter on the environment, especially if the canvas is organic.  Put lunch
items in reusable stainless steel or plastic containers.  
We've been doing this for 6 years with great success.
